Betreff des Beitrags:  Present and past summer skiing areas of the alpes - a list.

R e m a r k s:

Sölden: Opening of triple chairlift Seiterkar: december 1981 (connection of the two glaciers), triple chair Tiefenbachferner january 1982.
Stubai: Openure TCB 6 (double cable (2S)) Eisgrat II, winter 1974, therefore summerskiing only possible since 1974.
Gurgl: Wurmkogel: construction of the lifts in 1968, therfore summer skiing possible since that date.
Tux: Opening of the skking area up to TFH (Tuxer Fernerhaus, refuge) with single chairlift in 1968, 1970 the draglift Olperer followed, which existed just one year, 1971 then came the single chairlift Gefrorene Wand III. In case of opening of the draglift Gefrorene Wand in 1968, the draglift Olperer must have existed already in 1968 (at the refuge Tuxer Fernerhaus at the base of the glacier), in that 1968 should be the correct date therefore.
Kaprun, Kitzsteinhorn: third part of the cable car since autumn 1966 working.
Mölltal: Funiculaire working since septembre 1997, before extremely low numbers of skiers: the 6 seater gondola had 60.000 uphill rides / year, compare to: detachable Quad Rotadl /Stubai with more than 2.000.000 every year.
Verbier: The first cable car and draglifts were built in 1982, the cable car to the summit one year after. The Jumbo followed in 1987, the second parallel draglift in 1989. Summer skiing until 1999.
Crans Montana: the first of the three short draglifts was built in 1982, culmination point at 2950m, there were three short draglifts, 2 of them on ice. The cable car existed already long before.
Stilfserjoch, Passo Stelvio: first ski school for summer skiing already in 1930 (Livrio). Until the year 1959 the route was open all year.
